Terms of Service
These terms govern access to and use of the Georgia Legislative Monitor website, workspace, collection tools, alerts, and briefings.
Last updated July 29, 2026
Agreement and service name
By creating an account or using Georgia Legislative Monitor, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. The related Meta developer application may appear as What Georgia Thinks. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for that organization.
Intended use
The service is a professional, people-first workspace for reviewing selected public social-media activity, source evidence, operational status, alerts, and generated briefings. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the State of Georgia, the Georgia General Assembly, Meta, X, or any other source platform. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and use the service only for lawful, authorized purposes.
Accounts and workspace access
- Provide accurate registration and organization information.
- Keep credentials confidential and promptly report suspected compromise.
- Use only the organization and role access granted to you.
- Organization administrators are responsible for roster choices, member access, connector activation, alerts, and submitted workspace content.
Acceptable use
You may not use the service to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate against, or unlawfully profile another person;
- collect private content, private messages, credentials, or data you are not authorized to access;
- publish, sell, or expose sensitive personal information obtained through the workspace;
- evade platform controls, rate limits, approvals, or access restrictions;
- interfere with the service, probe another organization's data, or introduce malicious code;
- misrepresent generated analysis as verified fact or an official government statement; or
- violate applicable law, source-platform terms, or another person's rights.
Public sources and third-party services
Source platforms and public account owners control the availability, accuracy, and licensing of their material. Links and excerpts remain subject to third-party terms and rights. Connector access may require provider approval, funded quota, or authorization and may be delayed, restricted, or withdrawn by a provider. You may not use this service as a substitute for permissions required by a source platform or applicable law.
Briefings and analytical outputs
Briefings and signals are generated from collected evidence and may contain errors, omissions, or stale information. They are informational aids, not legal, compliance, investment, campaign, or professional advice. Review the linked original evidence before relying on an output or sharing it with others.
Your content and service materials
You retain rights you hold in information you submit. You authorize the service to host, process, display, and transmit that information only as needed to operate the workspace and its requested features. These terms do not grant ownership of third-party public content. The application design, code, documentation, and service branding remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
Availability and changes
We work to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted, complete, or real-time collection. Maintenance, provider outages, quota, changed public content, and external approvals can affect availability. We may update, limit, or discontinue features to protect users, comply with law or platform requirements, or maintain service integrity.
Suspension and termination
Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to address a security risk, legal requirement, platform restriction, or a material violation of these terms. You may stop using the service and request account deletion as described in the data deletion instructions.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an "as available" basis without warranties of completeness, accuracy, uninterrupted operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. Each organization remains responsible for how it configures monitoring, interprets evidence, grants member access, and uses or shares outputs. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
