Meta application identification
These are the user-data deletion instructions for Georgia Legislative Monitor. In Meta settings, the connected developer application may be listed as What Georgia Thinks. The two names refer to the same service for purposes of this request process.
Who may make a request
- A current or former workspace member requesting deletion of their account information.
- An authorized administrator requesting deletion of an organization's workspace or platform authorization data.
- A person, or their authorized representative, requesting review of public material associated with that person.
How to request deletion
- Email braden.bowen@buridansoftware.com with the subject Georgia Legislative Monitor data deletion request.
- Identify your relationship to the data: workspace member, organization administrator, Meta account or Page administrator, monitored person, or authorized representative.
- Provide the account email, organization name, public profile URL, or other non-secret identifier needed to locate the records, and describe whether you are requesting deletion of an account, a workspace, Meta authorization data, or specified public-source records.
- We will reply with the minimum additional steps needed to verify identity and authority. After verification, we will delete or de-identify applicable records and confirm the outcome without unreasonable delay, subject to applicable law and the limited exceptions described below.
Remove Meta access
An authorized Meta account or business administrator may also revoke the app in the applicable Facebook, Instagram, Accounts Center, Apps and Websites, or Business Integrations settings. Meta occasionally changes the names and locations of these controls.
Revoking access stops future collection that depends on that authorization, but it may not erase copies already held by this service. Complete the email request above if you also want us to review and delete applicable stored Meta platform data.
Information covered by a request
Depending on the verified request and the requester's authority, deletion may include:
- account profile and organization membership information;
- notification preferences, device registrations, and push subscription data;
- workspace notes or configuration created by the requester;
- Meta platform identifiers, public profile metadata, and public post evidence held by the service; and
- other records that directly identify the requester and are not required for a permitted exception.
What deletion does not do
Deleting a copy from this service does not delete the original post, profile, or media from Facebook, Instagram, or another source platform. Contact the source platform or account owner about the original material.
Limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or preservation of a non-identifying audit trail. Residual copies may also remain until they age out through provider-controlled backup cycles. Where feasible, retained records are limited or de-identified.
